Nils Eckstein
Machine Learning Researcher
I lead AI research at kaiko.ai, building frontier models for clinical medicine. My work spans vision, language, and multimodal reasoning, with a focus on scaling post-training for domains where general models fall short. Before this, I did my PhD in ML for Neuroscience at ETH Zurich and HHMI Janelia, developing deep learning approaches for connectomics - analyzing petabyte-scale electron microscopy data to map neural circuits in the fruit fly brain.
